SEOUL, April 18 (Yonhap) -- Trot singer Tae Jin-ah will release a new song “I must survive today” (translated title) on April 25, according to Jinah Entertainment, Monday.

“I must survive today” is not the singer’s typical fast and cheerful song but a traditional trot song. The sad and mournful melody blends well with Tae Jin-ah’s husky voice.

The song was created by a collaboration between Tae Jin-ah, who wrote the lyrics, and his son Eru, who composed the track.

The song comforts people such as small business owners who face difficulties in the pandemic era, with the lyrics, “Don’t Cry Don’t Cry That’s Life / One day you cry and one day you laugh / That's how you survive” (translated).

The trot singer will also release tracks “Betrayer” and “Myeongdong’s tears” on the same day.
