SEOUL, Oct. 16 (Yonhap) -- Jennie of BLACKPINK made her first appearance on the popular American talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on October 15 (local time), where she performed her new single Mantra, according to her agency OA Entertainment.
Jennie captivated the audience with her powerful choreography and flawless live vocals. The agency praised her performance, stating, "Jennie filled the stage with her overwhelming presence and demonstrated her unmatched stage command. Her high-quality performance captivated both the live audience and viewers in the U.S."
The single Mantra made a strong impact upon release, recording 5,247,858 streams on its first day on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, and debuting at No. 5 on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart. It also topped the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 57 countries, including the U.S., Brazil, Singapore, and the Philippines.
Jennie is the first female K-pop solo artist this year to achieve No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes 'Top Songs' chart.
