SEOUL, Mar. 26 (Yonhap) – Korean American actor Jin Ha apologized for the recent controversy over illegal filming and sexual harassment of Korean women.

The actor wrote on his homepage on Mar. 26, “I deeply regret my actions, and I apologize for them,” for uploading the photos without permission and allowing those photos and captions of people he did not know personally to stay online.

Jin Ha admitted his fault, saying, “You are absolutely right,” adding, “My ‘Korean Flowers in Bloom’ Tumblr account from 2011 should not have been made at all. It was a breach of privacy for the elder women featured, and many of my captions were inappropriate.”

He also mentioned, “My lack of judgement in 2011 has been pointed out by readers wiser than I have proved to be, and for that I am grateful,” adding, “I will work diligently to learn from this mistake so that I may never repeat it going forward.”

Jin Ha appeared in Apple TV+ original series “Pachinko,” which was recently released, as Solomon Baek, Sunja(Youn Yuh-jung)’s grandson.

The actor got into a controversy when a post in an online community claimed that Jin Ha illegally took 90 photos of Korean middle-aged women and posted them on his social media in the past.

The photos that were posted from July 2010 to early September 2011, showed Korean middle-aged women, mostly wearing flower patterns, on the subway, bus station, and streets.
