SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) -- Super band BTS’s hit-song “Butter” has exceeded 600 million YouTube views in about 5 months since release.
The number of views of the music video for “Butter” has stood over 600 million at around 12:46 a.m. Tuesday, according to the band’s agency Big Hit Music on the day. This record is exactly 165 days since its release on May 21st
“Butter” is their 11th song to have surpassed 600 million views with music video.
The song crash-landed on 1st place on Billboard main chart “Hot 100” on June 5th and secured its top place for 7 consecutive weeks. It ranked 1st place for 10 times in total and has recorded the most 1st places of the year.
Especially, when its music video was released, the number of watchers in the same time were over 3.9 million and it reached over 1.08 million views in 24 hours setting a record for music video with the highest number of views in 24 hours.
BTS has 35 music videos with hundreds-million views.
Music videos for “DNA” and “Boy With Luv” each surpassed 1.3 billion views and “Dynamite” marked 1.2 billion. “Blood Sweat & Tears” and “Fire” shows hundreds-million views as well.
