JEJU, Feb. 20 (Yonhap) -- “Bunker de Lumières,” an immersive media art center located in Jeju, will extend the “MONET, RENOIR…CHAGALL” exhibition until Sep. 12.
“Bunker de Lumières” announced that it will extend the exhibition to provide sufficient opportunities for more people in response to favorable reviews, such as being selected as the “place to visit” by the Korea Tourism Organization last year.
Located in Seongsan-eup, Jeju-do, “Bunker de Lumières” has been well received by the young audience as it expressed classic painting artworks as media art by using images, sounds, and light, while it is also evaluated to be outstanding in quality of work.
“Bunker de Lumières” is recently holding the third exhibition “MONET, RENOIR…CHAGALL” and “PAUL KLEE,” following the second exhibition “VAN GOGH.”
The exhibition presents more than 500 artworks created by 20 artists from the period of Impressionism to Modernism, including Monet, Renoir, and Chagall, who performed in Mediterranean, as well as Pizarro, Signac, and Dufy.
Moreover, it offers an unique experience where the classic and jazz music of Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, George Gershwin, Billie Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald is blended together.
It will also provide an audio docent tour service that the writer Kim Young-ha and musical actor KAI recorded with their beautiful voices.
