SEOUL, Dec. 9 (Yonhap) -- JTBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama "Artificial City," starring actress Soo Ae, started off with a 3 percent viewership.
The mystery drama aired at 10:30 p.m. the previous day and recorded 3.5 percent in viewer ratings, according to data from market tracker Nielsen Koreanclick on Thursday.
In the first episode, Yoon Jae-hee (Soo Ae), the second daughter-in-law of Sungjin Group, took the first step of her plan to make her husband Jung Joon-hyuk (Kim Kang-woo), who is a news anchor at a broadcasting station, into the country's president.

Yoon Jae-hee hands over Sungin Group's accounting fraud documents to her husband and obtains a secret library key that accesses her to collect account books of important public figures.
"Artificial City" revolves around the big conglomerate company, Sungjin Group, which dominates the political and financial circles in Korea, and depicts tension between people who fight for power.
Actress Kim Mi-sook and Soo Ae, who appear as the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law of Sungjin Group, draws the audience in with their charisma and efforts to take control of the conglomerate group.
However, compared to previous dramas that base stories on Korea's upper class, "Artificial City" is receiving criticism for not bringing refreshing storylines and some pointed out that Soo Ae's character is somewhat repetitive to her previous roles in "King of Ambition" and drama "High Society."
