SEOUL, Apr. 10 (Yonhap) -- “We call Las Vegas a ‘miracle in the desert’. However, right now, this moment is a ‘miracle’ for us.” (Leader RM)
Night sky of Las Vegas, the most fabulous city in the world, was covered with purple lights. Las Vegas, filled with BTS, was literally ‘BORAHAEGAS.’
BTS came up on their second stage ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LAS VEGAS’ in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on the afternoon of the 9th (GMT).
The performance started with the phrase, “We don’t need permission.”
Members on their white and red costumes lighted up the stage beginning with the song ‘ON’, and then shows performance of ‘FIRE’ and ‘DOPE’ accordingly, heating the atmosphere of the concert hall.
When J-HOPE, finishing the opening performance, shouted ‘Scream’, saying that “I want ARMY to show us how loud you can scream”, 50,000 audiences filling the stadium screamed deafeningly.
Inside the stadium which can accommodate 65 thousand audiences, a large electronic display and ‘T’-shaped stage were placed. Rest of the place except for the back of electronic display was filled with purple lights emitted from ‘ARMY Bomb (cheering tool).’
Jin, who recently underwent a finger surgery, did most of his performance sitting on a chair. When singing ‘Butter’, he stood up and joined in other members, dancing to the rhythm of music.
Electronic display changed diversely according to feelings and moods of each song. When members sang ‘FAKE LOVE’, a giant hand-shaped sculpture in the middle of the stage grabbed the attention of viewers.
Fans especially cheered on the stage ‘Black Swan’ which members performed ‘black swan’ and ‘swan’ together with dancers.
They cheered for every one of members’ gestures, waving hand pickets that says, ‘Even the desert becomes the sea if we are together,’ or ‘I love you.’ One fan cheered while holding a paper that says, ‘2022 ARMY’s Awards.’
Last stage was ‘Permission to Dance,’ the message of the day’s performance. Members shouted, ‘Oh it’s good,’ ‘Fun,’ ‘Thank you so much,’ and enjoyed making a wave as one with ARMY.
Jimin said, “I would long love nothing more than hearing and sharing the voice, as well as making eye contacts with ARMY, dancing and enjoying forever together. While Jin, calling fans ‘battery’, shouted “I love you ARMY, who make us move all the time.”
On Saturday, the midday temperature rose to 32 degrees Celsius, but fans who were "armed" in purple, symbolizing BTS, began lining up long before the performance began.
Kang, who came to see the concert from Seoul, said that “I came to see the concert with my son during the spring vacation of elementary school.” As a fan of Jin, Kang said with a smile, “It is okay if he doesn’t finish the choreography. He is perfect the way he is”.
The sisters in their 60s who have just become ARMY two months ago, said “It takes 5 hours for us to come to see this concert from Arizona,” adding, “BTS’s music has power of sharing love widely and bringing people together. I will cheer for them more.”
Members will be back on stage on the 15th and 16th. The last concert will also be broadcast live online.
