SEOUL, March 22 (Yonhap) -- Singer-songwriter Seori (birth name: Baek So-hyun) made a comeback to the music industry by releasing the fifth digital single “Can't Stop This Party” today.

“This comeback is a new experience and a challenge for me. My goal for this year is for more people to know me through my improved music,” said Seori in an online and offline press showcase held today.

“Can’t Stop This Party,” contains the message to run away from the painful memories of the past that affect you.

“The song holds the excitement and the expectations of going wherever you want after overcoming sadness,” adding, “I hope many people can listen to the song when they’re having a hard time and think ‘I can do it too,’” explained Seori.

Seori became popular with her YouTube cover videos of ABIR’s “Tango” and Khalid’s “Talk” before her debut. After the debut in May 2020, the singer became well-known through her collaborations with famous artists including TOMORROW X TOGETHER, MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul, GIRIBOY, and DOK2. The singer also participated in the original soundtrack of Marvel's movie "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings."

The singer chose the name “Seori” because the word itself seemed pure and clear. However, she explained how some people misunderstood it with the Korean word Seori, which refers to the action of stealing. Seori said, “I want to steal people’s hearts with my songs like ‘Seori.’”
