K-pop superstars BTS will hold a massive live concert in Busan on Oct. 15 to support the southern port city's bid to host the World Expo in 2030, the group said Wednesday.

The septet said on K-pop fan community platform Weverse that the one-day concert titled "BTS in Busan" will take place on a makeshift stage to be installed in Gijang, northern Busan, in front of 100,000 fans.

It would mark the largest number of spectators for a single-day BTS concert in South Korea.

The show will be shown simultaneously on a large-screen at an outdoor parking lot of the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal with a capacity of around 10,000 people, as well as through online live streaming. Admission is free.

As a public relations ambassador for the Busan World Expo 2030, the band plans to engage in various promotional activities to promote Busan's hosting bid starting with the live concert, according to its label Big Hit Music.

The show will be the septet's first performance in South Korea since March, when the group staged the Permission to Dance on Stage show in Seoul.

After the schedule for the group's upcoming concert was announced, accommodations near the concert venue were fully booked for the day before the show, according to Yanolja Co., a leading travel platform operator.

Although the show ended on Aug. 18, its popularity is continuing.

Meanwhile, U.S. streaming service company Netflix released the scene of making the dubbed version of the drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo“ on Korean media.

The dubbing is taking place in Burbank, California, the film industry's epicenter. They have finished the dubbing for half of all 16 episodes, and it will be released next month.

◇ Singer Psy's company under probe over death of water concert worker

An artist management company established by world famous singer Psy has come under investigation by the labor ministry over the death of an outsourced worker during the dismantling of facilities after a Psy concert, officials said Thursday.

The ministry's Gangwon Province branch office began a raid on P Nation's head office in southern Seoul and its subcontractors around 9:30 a.m., the officials said.

On July 31, a male Mongolian worker in his 20s, who was hired by one of P Nation's subcontractors, died in a fall while taking part in the dismantling of stage facilities for Psy's water-shower concert, dubbed "Drenched Show," in Gangneung, an east coast city in Gangwon Province.

It has been known that the fatal accident occurred while the man was working without adequate safety equipment despite rainy, inclement weather.

According to the Industrial Safety and Health Act, work must stop when the weather is very bad due to rain, snow or other unstable conditions.

The labor ministry has reportedly obtained a search and seizure warrant from the court for P Nation on charges of violating the industrial safety law.

The ministry may also leave open the possibility of investigating P Nation on charges of violating the Serious Disaster Punishment Act that took effect in January this year, the officials said.

Psy controls 60 percent of P Nation but the company is now headed by another person surnamed Kim. Therefore, the officials speculate that the possibility of the singer being booked in connection with the worker's death appears to be slim despite the ongoing investigation.
