SEOUL, Jan. 25 (Yonhap) -- Singer-songwriter msftz opens first solo concert “msftz: First Step,” on Jan. 29, according to Sony Music Entertainment Korea, on Tuesday.
The concert will be held in Rollinghall, Mapo-gu, Seoul and was organized to commemorate the 27th year anniversary of Rollinghall’s opening.
At Rolling Hall, well-known as the birthplace of the Korean indie music industry, prominent artists such as Guckkasten, Kiha & The faces, and Baek A-yeon have performed.
msftz is a singer-songwriter who is drawing attention for her attractive voice, outstanding lyricism, and composition skills.
The singer has been active in the music platform Soundcloud and dropped her first EP “Belief” in Nov. 2021.
The British music review magazine NME recently released a list of ‘The NME 100: Essential Emerging Artists for 2022’ and paid attention to msftz.
“The rawness of her lyricism blends effortlessly with her syrupy sweet voice and twinkling, piano-driven instrumentals, making the 23-year-old a truly refreshing standout in the South Korean scene,” said NME.
