SEOUL, Dec. 21 (Yonhap) -- Marvel's latest Spider-Man series film, "Spider-Man: No Way Home," still remains as the most-watched movie, attracting 3 million people in the first week since its release.
The blockbuster, released on Dec. 15, attracted about 3,078,000 viewers nationwide as of 7 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC).
It is the fastest movie released in South Korea since the COVID-19 pandemic started early last year to garner 3 million viewers, outnumbering previous No. 1 hits like "Deliver Us From Evil" (11 days), "Peninsula" (14 days), "Eternals" and "Escape from Mogadishu" (33 days).
The superhero film garnered about 635,000 viewers upon its debut last Wednesday, marking the largest first-day score for a film since the coronavirus outbreak.
