SEOUL, Oct. 30 (Yonhap) -- The board of directors at ADOR, the agency managing NewJeans, voted down a proposal on October 30 to reinstate Min Hee-jin as CEO.

Held at HYBE headquarters in Seoul’s Yongsan district, the board meeting saw a majority vote against Min’s return as CEO, preventing the proposal from passing.

The board meeting was reportedly convened at Min’s request. Previously, she had filed an injunction asserting that internal directors should approve her appointment, yet the court dismissed this claim just a day prior. ADOR's board structure includes a majority of HYBE-affiliated members, making a rejection likely in the absence of court support.

Min, however, maintains that no breach of shareholder agreements has occurred and asserts that her contract remains valid, entitling her to the CEO position. Her public response has indicated dissatisfaction with the decision, and she is expected to contest the outcome.

During a live broadcast on music critic Kim Young-dae’s YouTube channel School of Music, Min expressed frustration, stating, "I never intended to leave the company as HYBE claimed… I am being unfairly framed and misrepresented."
