‘Squid Game’ takes home three Critics Choice Super Awards

SEOUL, March 18 (Yonhap) -- Netlfix’s Korean original series “Squid Game” won three U.S. Critics Choice Super Awards.

The Critics Choice Association chose “Squid Game” as the Best Action Series in the 2nd annual Critics Choice Super Award, in March. 17 (local time).

“Squid Game” was named the best action series over “9-1-1” (Fox), “Cobra Kai” (Netflix), “Heels” (Starz), “Kung Fu” (CWTV), and “Lupin” (Netflix).

Lee Jung-jae and Jung Ho-yeon, the stars of Netflix's smash hit "Squid Game,” also took home Best Actor in an Action Series and Best Actress in an Action Series, respectively.

The Critics Choice Super Awards, presented by CCA starting from last year, chooses the year’s most popular works and actors in sci-fi, superhero, fantasy, horror, and action genres.

“Squid Game” won the best non-English language TV series and best actor (Lee Jung-jae) at Critics Choice Awards ceremony held on March 14.
