SEOUL, March 16 (Yonhap) -- Seoul Fashion Week will return with an on-site fashion show, for the first time in two and a half years, since October 2019.
Seoul city announced on Wednesday that the “2022 F/W Seoul Fashion Week” will run both online and offline from March 18.
The fashion show of Seoul Collection’s 23 brands, by Seoul’s leading designers and 12 brands of emerging designers will be live-streamed all over the world through YouTube, NaverTV, and TikTok. Among them, the fashion show of 12 fashion brands will be revealed offline at the same time.
A backstage clip that shows the production process of the fashion show will also be released through TvnD channel and TikTok.
The opening ceremony will be held at the Seoul Museum of Craft Art on March 18 at 1 p.m. with Mayor Oh Se-hoon and global ambassador Lee Jung-jae. Three designer brands, including BONBOM, which debuts for the first time in Seoul Fashion Week, will take the stage live.
The show also prepared an on-site exhibition where consumers can try on and buy clothes from the runaway, a consulting session in which Korean and foreign buyers can participate, and online live commerce dedicated to Chinese buyers.
A runaway stage combined with augmented and virtual reality and 14 digital fashion films that cover Seoul’s culture and nature in DDP, Seoul Metropolitan Library, and Namsan Mountain, will be revealed to the audience.
Girl group Kep1er will take the opening stage on March 18, while dance crews WANT, CocaNButter, and LaChica from Mnet’s dance survival audition program “Street Women Fighter,” will take the finale performance on March 23.
