SEOUL, Apr. 19 (Yonhap) – K-pop girl group aespa is set to perform at “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival,” the greatest outdoor music festival in the United States.

According to the agency SM Entertainment, aespa will appear on the main stage of the festival held in Coachella Valley in Indio, California, on Apr. 23(KST).

The agency explained, “aespa has become the first K-pop girl group ever to be officially invited to the main stage.”

Coachella, which was founded in 1999, is an annual music and arts festival that attracts 200,000 people every year, and about 120 singers, including Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Conan Gray, and Pink Sweats, will join the festival this year.

aespa will perform the new song that has not been unveiled yet along with the hit songs “Black Mamba,” “Next Level,” and “Savage.”

The group’s performances can be found on Coachella’s YouTube channel on Apr. 24 (KST).

aespa, debuted in November, 2020, has drawn attention for their worldview where the avatars of the members perform together.

The group ranked No. 20 on “Billboard 200” with their first mini album “Savage,” setting the highest record with the first album of K-pop girl group.
