SEOUL, June 11 (Yonhap) -- HYBE’s new J-pop boy group aoen officially debuted on Wednesday with their first single, "The Blue Sun."

According to their label YX Labels, aoen is a seven-member team formed through the NTV audition program "Cheering-HIGH ∼Dream’s START LINE∼" which aired from February to April in Japan. The group’s name reflects their intention to cheer everyone on with energy as bright as the sun.

The single "The Blue Sun" represents the group’s bold determination to break away from conventional norms and forge their own path. It includes four tracks: the title song "The Blue Sun," as well as "Blue Flame," "Circle Ring," and "FINISH LINE ∼Last Race, New Start∼."

The title track is a dance song based on the punk-pop genre. Its vibrant energy is brought to life by an upbeat bassline, bouncy guitar riffs, and refreshing synthesizer sounds.

aoen will hold their debut showcase in Tokyo, Japan at 3 p.m. local time today.
