K-pop girl group UNIS to make debut on March 27

SEOUL, Feb. 29 (Yonhap) -- Rookie K-pop girl group “UNIS” formed through the SBS TV audition program “Universe Ticket,” announced on the 29th that they will officially debut on March 27.

“UNIS” consists of a multinational lineup of members Jin Hyun-ju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Elisia, Oh Yoona, and Im Seo-won. They were formed through the collaborative efforts of F&F Entertainment, one of the production companies behind “Universe Ticket,” making them the first idol group introduced by the company.

The group's name, “UNIS,” carries the meaning of "Let's write our story together, starting from the universe."

Before their official debut, “UNIS” gained recognition by appearing on the Philippine variety show “Running Man Philippines” and the SBS entertainment program “Girls Who Hit the Goal.”

Despite being pre-debut, “UNIS” has already garnered attention through TikTok with 660,000 followers and two of their TikTok contents exceeded over 10 million views each.

F&F Entertainment, established by the well-known fashion company F&F, known for brands like 'MLB' and 'Discovery,' will manage “UNIS” for the first 2 years and 6 months of their career.
