"My Dear" is a heartwarming song that delivers BoA's genuine message of gratitude to fans who have always stuck by her throughout the years. The song also carries phrases that remind listeners of BoA's hit songs such as "Only One" and "Valenti."

Debuting in May 2001 with her first single "ID; Peace B," BoA has been dubbed as "Asia's Star" and has served as the "pioneer" for showcasing K-pop to foreign countries.

The songstress topped the Oricon chart in Japan for the first time as a Korean singer with her first full-length album "Listen to my heart," which was released in 2002, and received great attention as her album sales in Japan surpassed 10 million.

In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of BoA's debut in Japan, the singer plans to present a variety of music, including her new digital single, to fans this year.
