SEOUL, June 13 (Yonhap) -- J-pop star Fujii Kaze has released the pre-release track "Hachiko" from his upcoming third full album "Prema," according to Universal Music Korea on Friday.
Fujii Kaze, who won "Album of the Year" at the Music Awards Japan 2025, also drew popularity in Korea, selling out his solo concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul last December—a venue reserved for top-tier artists.
"Hachiko" takes its title from the famous loyal dog and landmark in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Fujii Kaze explained, “Hachiko, the faithful dog, waited every day at the station for 10 years after his owner died and was finally reunited in heaven. In this song, I wanted to focus more on the joy and peace rather than the tragic side of the story.”
The full album "Prema," which includes "Hachiko," will be released on September 5.
