SEOUL May 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korean Netflix series, "Bloodhounds" featuring Woo Do-hwan will be released on June 9, addressed Netflix on Friday.
The series depicts protagonist Kim Geon-woo acted by Woo Do-hwan, a boxer who fights against evil within the world.
“Bloodhounds” is an action based drama where two of the protagonists who were up and coming boxers join forces to fight against the evil within the world.
Actor Woo Do-hwan will act out rising boxer Geon-woo, who decides to become a bloodhound in pursuit of loan sharks, after witnessing his mother’s unfortunate incident.
As Geon-woo’s wingman, Hong Woo-jin acted by Lee Sang-yi will appear throughout the series. Woo-jin, a former boxer with good wit crossed paths with Geon-woo during his final boxing match and quickly became good friends with one another.
South Korean actor Huh Joon-ho will act out president choi, a king pin of the loan shark cartel, and Park Sung-woong will act out Kim Myeong-gil, an infamous loan shark.
Director Kim Joo-hwan who is known for his works, “Midnight Runners,” from 2017, “The Divine Fury,” of 2019 and more will lead the production.
Although actress Kim Sae-ron was expected to appear throughout the series, she was excluded from the cast due to her DUI charges in May 2022. Therefore, she will also be featured throughout couple of the episodes. However within the trailer, Kim Sae-ron did not appear.
