SEOUL, July 28 (Yonhap) -- Comedian Park Soo-hong (50) has directly announced his marriage.
Through his black cat Dahong’s official social media page, “Today I made a family to take care of. The reason I decided to confirm a legal bond even before the wedding ceremony is because I met the one whom I wish to live the future with”, said Park adding that he has finished legally registering his marriage with a 23 years younger girlfriend.
“We have deep faith in each other and love towards each other, there are no other reasons” and “as the head of the household, as a husband to my lover, and as a father to Dahong (his companion cat) who gave me hope to live, I will live for my family and will make an ordinary home”, said the groom.
To his wife he said, “I am sorry that we couldn’t have a wedding ceremony, though not grand and magnificent, but at least decent” and promised, “I will be truer to my feelings and will take more responsibility for those who chose to stay by me during my long and difficult times.”
He added, “My wife is not a public figure, just an ordinary person so I beg for no excessive interest and hasty assumptions”, “as a dutiful supporter of my family, I will work hard and live happily and honestly.”
Beforehand, Park Soo-hong became a gossip when his girlfriend born in 1993 was revealed. This fact was open to the public as Park Soo-hong’s brother, who was suspected of embezzlement and was in the verge of legal dispute against Park Soo-hong, told the press. His brother claimed that the conflict between the brothers was not because of property settlement but happened while Park Soo-hong was introducing his young girlfriend.
On April, Park Soo-hong claimed to have been deprived of his earnings by his brother. He has sued his brother for violation of act on the aggravated punishment, etc. of special economic crimes.
