SEOUL, July 19 (Yonhap) -- Trot singer Young Tak is also diagnosed with coronavirus infection (COVID-19) after Jang Min-ho who is a singer from TV Chosun trot audition program 'Mr. Trot'.

New Era Project, the company managing for the 'Mr. Trot' top 6, announced to his fans that Yong Tak was tested positive for the coronavirus through their fan cafe on the 19th.

Singers from 'Mr. Trot' were tested for infection on the 15th after the diagnosis of Park Tae-hwan (former South Korean swimmer) and Mo Tae-bum (former South Korean speed skater) who were shooting TV Chosun 'Ppong School' together on the 13th.

Yong Tak was initially confirmed negative and has gone into self-isolation since then, however he started showing symptoms so took a re-examination on the 18th and the result was positive.

"Yong Tak is currently continuing with self-isolation according to the guidelines of the disease control authorities and is showing no further symptoms." and "all related workers and staff in site who were in contact (with Yong Tak) in any form have taken examinations and are all tested negative", said New Era Project.

Earlier, Jang Min-ho diagnosed with infection on the 16th entered an isolation facility on the 17th.

Rest of the 'Mr. Trot' top 6 members, Lim Young-woong, Lee Chan-won, Kim Heejae are all going into isolation according to the appointed period by the disease control authority, but except for Jung Dong-won who did not have any common routes with Park Tae-won and Mo Tae-bum.

It seems that TV Chosun 'Romantic Call-Center' and 'Ppong School', where they were cast, are going to suffer in some points. A member of the staff from the program admitted that "schedules are under discussion."

Music scene and broadcast industry are in alarm failing to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Another had been diagnosed from SBS TV Mondays and Tuesdays drama 'Racket Boys' filming set. A back-up actor who participated the shooting on 16th, showed symptoms on the 17th and was tested positive on the 18th.

"As soon as we were informed with the diagnosis, shooting was canceled immediately and all related staff members including the actors and their management employees are undertaking examination. If they are confirmed negative, shooting will restart according to the instructions of the authorities", reported the production crew.

Not only the confirmed cases but also the increase of self-isolation individuals due to close contact is another effect on the broadcast industry.

Earlier as Park Myung-soo who appeared in a variety show with Kim Yo-han(former volley ball player) tested negative, had to go into isolation, and until the 26h Kim Tae-jin, a South Korean TV personality is taking the DJ for 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show' since then.
