SEOUL, Mar. 2 (Yonhap) – Park Bom from K-pop girl group 2NE1 will make a comeback in about a year.

Park will drop the new single “Flower” through diverse music platforms on Mar. 11 afternoon, according to the agency D NATION Entertainment on Wednesday.

It is the first release in about a year since “Do Re Mi Fa Sol,” which was dropped in March, 2021.

The song depicts a woman, who was ruined at some point and starts to resent and hate herself, and a man who wants to be with her. MeloMance’s Kim Min-seok participated in the song and worked with Park.

The agency said, "We are looking forward to what synergy Park Bom, who has drawn attention at home and abroad for her unique vocals, will show with Kim Min-seok, who swept the music chart with his beautiful voice.”

Park, who debuted as 2NE1 in 2009, released the hit songs, such as “You & I” and “Don’t Cry,” showing off her unique voice. After the group’s disbandment, the singer has officially performed as a solo artist by releasing “Spring” and “4:44.”
