Mapo Cultural Foundation seeks applicants for indie support program

SEOUL, March 6 (Yonhap) -- Mapo Cultural Foundation announced on Friday that it will accept applications until the 25th for its indie musician support program “Indiscovery.”

Unlike one-time performance support, the program features a step-by-step development system that includes an open call, performances, evaluation, creative collaboration, and music production and distribution.

In last year’s program, six teams were selected through the finals out of 376 applicants, receiving opportunities to perform at a large theater and produce a digital single.

The program is open to indie musicians without agency representation who have at least three original songs, regardless of genre. More details are available on the websites of the Mapo Cultural Foundation and the Seoul Mapo Music Creation Center.
