SEOUL, Jan. 25 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group iKON’s Koo Jun-hoe and TREASURE’s Yoshi have tested positive for the new coronavirus as a series of infected cases follow one after another.

“iKON’s Koo Jun-hoe has also tested positive for COVID-19 along with fellow members Kim Jin-hwan, Song Yun-heong and Kim Dong-hyuk," said YG.

Koo tested negative after conducting a PCR test on Jan. 22, but after showing mild sore throat symptoms, the test confirmed positive.

TREASURE’s member Yoshi also tested positive after conducting a PCR test on the same day.

"Both have completed the COVID-19 vaccination and are currently in good health,” explained YG.

"We continued to conduct COVID-19 tests on our artists and nearby staff regardless of whether they had close contact, and we also completed cleaning and disinfecting the facility,” explained the entertainment.

Artists at YG have recently been confirmed one after another and are being treated.

iKON’s Kim Jin-hwan, Song Yun-heong and Kim Dong-hyuk have tested positive on Jan. 23, and WINNER’s Lee Seung-hoon tested positive the next day. Including Koo Jun-hoe and Yoshi, the number of confirmed cases increased to six.

"We will take necessary measures to restore the health of artists and prevent the spread of COVID-19,” emphasized YG.
