TXT Yeonjun's 'GGUM' Tops iTunes Charts in 32 Countries

SEOUL, Sept. 20 (Yonhap) -- Big Hit Music announced on the 20th that Tomorrow X Together (TXT) member Yeonjun's solo mixtape GGUM (Dream) has reached No. 1 on iTunes "Top Songs" charts in 32 countries. 

 

Released on the 19th, the song topped the charts in regions such as Japan, Brazil, the Philippines, and Russia as of 9 a.m. the following day. It also secured the No. 1 spot on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart and ranked second on the European iTunes Song Chart.

 

Additionally, GGUM made a notable impact in Japan, where it claimed the top position on the real-time "Song Top 100" chart of the music platform Line Music.

 

The track uses gum as a metaphor to express Yeonjun's confidence and ambition on stage. Yeonjun was heavily involved in the overall production of the song, contributing to the lyrics, theme, and performance.
