SEOUL, Apr. 21 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actors Lee Joon and Kang Han-na will act together as a king and queen in the drama.
KBS announced on Thursday that it will broadcast the new Monday and Tuesday drama “Bloody Heart” on 2TV channel on May 2 at 9:30 p.m.
“Bloody Heart” is a fictional historical drama that depicts the bloody romance between Lee Tae(Lee Joon), a king who has to abandon the woman he loves to survive, and Yoo Jeong(Kang Han-na), a woman who has to become a queen to survive.
Lee plays Lee Tae, a king who dreams of an absolute monarchy. Lee Tae believes that any means taken for this goal is reasonable, and he does not hesitate to take a dishonest route if necessary.
Kang plays the role of Yoo Jeong, who was too precedent to be constrained by strict Confucianism doctrines and too free-spirited to be locked up in a woman’s living room.
Lee Tae and Yoo Jeong were former lovers from their younger days, but the two met again in the palace and ended up facing a heartbroken fate while being caught up in palace affairs.
In the drama, Jang Hyuk increases the viewers’ immersion as he transforms into Park Gye-won, the first vice-premier and the man of supreme power in Joseon.
