SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Yonhap) -- Seunghan of the group RIIZE is set to return to team activities, about a year after stepping back due to a personal controversy.

Wizard Production, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment that manages RIIZE, announced on the 11th, "After numerous discussions about the group's direction, we have decided that Seunghan will rejoin the team. Following a preparation period, he will gradually participate in some of the scheduled activities starting in November to greet fans once again."

Seunghan made his debut with RIIZE in September last year. However, in November of the same year, he faced controversy when personal videos and photos from his trainee days were leaked online, leading to his indefinite suspension from group activities. Since then, RIIZE has been active as a six-member group without Seunghan.

Wizard Production explained that, after carefully evaluating RIIZE's activities, they concluded that the group's presence is most meaningful with all members participating, prompting the decision for Seunghan's return. They noted, "Seunghan has continued to work on improving his skills during his hiatus, and as he has much more to show in the future, we hope fans will extend their warm support."

The agency also reiterated its apologies to fans for the confusion and distress caused by the past controversy. "We will continue to work together with the members to pursue their shared dreams and strive to deliver great music and performances from RIIZE," they added.
