SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- SEVENTEEN’s 5th full-length album HAPPY BURSTDAY sold 2,521,208 copies in its first week, according to Hanteo Chart, making it the highest-selling K-pop album in first-week sales this year.
Released on May 26, the album achieved double million-seller status on its first day, signaling massive popularity from the outset.
The title track THUNDER also topped Melon’s “Top 100” chart.
SEVENTEEN continues their promotional activities, including their new variety show NaNa Guesthouse with SEVENTEEN, produced by famed PD Na Young-seok, which premiered on the same day.
