SEOUL, Oct. 29 (Yonhap) -- Singer Yangpa will release the first part of her sixth full-length album, “Homecoming,” on Nov. 2, her agency Milk & Honey said Wednesday.
The release marks her first studio album in 18 years since her fifth album, “The Windows of My Soul,” in 2007. It is also her first new music in about a year since her December 2023 single “5:55.”
“‘Homecoming’ delivers a message of returning to the essence of music at a meaningful point in Yangpa’s 28th debut anniversary,” the agency said, adding that she participated in writing and composing all tracks.
Producers including Cloud, Urban Zakapa’s Kwon Soon-il, James Son and Hong Kong’s Alex Fung contributed to the album, while Hong Kong R&B diva Janice Vidal features as a duet partner.
The title track, “Fragments of Time,” is a modern reinterpretation of Yangpa’s signature traditional ballad style, offering subtle emotional depth and lingering sentiment. Actor Teo Yoo, from the film “Past Lives,” stars in the song’s music video.
Yangpa will embark on a nationwide concert tour starting in Seoul on Nov. 8 to celebrate the album’s release.
