SEOUL, Apr. 23 (Yonhap) – tvN’s new Friday and Saturday drama “Sh**ting Stars,” which depicts the story of the artists and people in the entertainment industry, who struggle to make celebrities stand out, started off around 1% in viewership.

The first episode of “Sh**ting Stars,” which was aired on Apr. 22 at 10:40 p.m., set a record of 1.6% in viewership, according to the ratings company Nielsen Korea on Saturday.

The first episode centered on Oh Han-byul(Lee Sung-kyung), the head of the PR team, and displayed the daily lives of the employees at Star Force Entertainment, an entertainment management agency, who are busy managing various risks including rumors of their artists' romance.

Moreover, it was revealed that Oh Han-byul and top star Gong Tae-sung(Kim Young-dae) of Star Force Entertainment had known each other since college, which is beyond the relationship between just the artists and the head of the PR team.

"Sh**ting Stars" depicts a delicate portrayal of the entertainment industry, which has not been highlighted in dramas so far.

The scenes where Han-byul had to take a phone call and write press releases even when she met her favorite partner on a blind date or during the medical examination, and the part where Kang Yoo-sung(Yoon Jong-hoon), the head of the management team 1, had to comfort a veteran actress who got upset when the rookie manager accidentally printed the script on the scratch paper added sense of reality.

Besides the main characters, the new manager Byun Jung-yeol(Jin Ho-eun), who is not flexible but tries his best when working, Park Ho-young(Kim Yoon-hye), the head of the management team 2 who always follows the principle but has unique personality, and actress Da-hye(Jang Hee-ryung), who became a "CF Star" in the advertisement industry, added fun to the drama.

Some said that it was sad that there were not many scenes where the male lead, Gong Tae-sung, appeared as the drama focused more on showing the management industry in the first episode.

The final scene of the first episode depicted Oh Han-byul, being surprised at Gong Tae-sung, who returned to Korea after a year of volunteering work in Africa, and it drew expectations for how the relationship between the two will be developed in the future.
