SEOUL, Dec. 17 (Yonhap) -- “Anpanman,” a track from BTS’ third full-length album released in 2018, has topped a Billboard subchart more than seven years after its release.

According to BigHit Music on Wednesday, the song reentered Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales” chart at No. 1 the previous day. It also ranked seventh on the broader “Digital Song Sales” chart.

“Anpanman” additionally topped iTunes Top Songs charts in 75 countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Italy and Mexico, as of the 9th. It placed 12th on Britain’s “Official Singles Downloads” chart and 24th on the “Official Singles Sales” chart announced on the 12th, local time.

“Anpanman” likens the superhero Anpanman to BTS, delivering a message of spreading hopeful energy to people through music and performance.

BigHit Music said the renewed popularity reflects the collective support of ARMY, the group’s fandom, noting the timing ahead of BTS’ anticipated full-group comeback next spring.

Meanwhile, Billboard’s list of the “Top 10 Highest-Grossing K-pop Tours of 2025” ranked solo tours by members J-Hope and Jin at third and seventh, respectively. J-Hope attracted more than 500,000 attendees across 33 shows in Asia and North America, while Jin met about 300,000 fans through 18 concerts in Asia, North America and Europe.
