SEOUL, Mar. 18 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actress Lee Yoo-mi, who drew great attention with Netflix’s original series “Squid Game” and “All of Us Are Dead,” has been selected as a female lead of tvN’s new drama “Mental Coach Je Gal Gil(translated).”
tvN’s “Mental Coach Je Gal Gil(translated),” which is scheduled to be aired in the second half of this year, announced on Mar. 18 that it confirmed the cast of actors Jung Woo, Lee Yoo-mi, Kwon Yul, and Park Se-young.
The drama depicts the story of Je Gal-gil(Jung Woo), a former national Taekwondo player who was banned for life and became a mental coach that encourages athletes in a slump to get back to their feet.
Jung plays a mental coach Je Gal-gil, a former national Taekwondo player, and Lee plays Cha Ga-eul, a former world short track medalist who was in a slump.
Kwon plays the role of Gu Tae-man, a former Taekwondo Olympic gold medalist who is now the director of the Human Rights Center of the Sports Association, while Park takes on the role of Park Seung-ha, a psychologist in the training center.
