SEOUL, Feb. 4 (Yonhap) -- YG’s boy group TREASURE signed a content supply contract with META, a platform company operating Facebook and Instagram, on Friday.
TREASURE will communicate with global users through Facebook based on the agreement.
The group will present a variety of contents, ranging from short videos specialized on SNS such as Facebook to long videos.
YG said, “Meta, which collaborated with leading global groups, showed great attention to TREASURE’s endless possibilities,” adding, “This partnership will become a trigger to become a global artist.”
TREASURE is a 12 member group that debuted in August 2020. The group has been active for five months since its debut, releasing four albums of the "THE FIRST STEP" series in a row.
Four of the 12 members are from Japan, forming a fandom in the global market.
TREASURE will make a comeback with the new release of “THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE,” on Feb. 15. The album exceeded 600,000 pre-orders within eight days of pre-sale.
