SEOUL, Nov. 15 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy band Seventeen, which has already achieved numerous milestones with its music this year, showed off spectacular performances on stage for fans on the afternoon of Nov. 14 amid the country's eased social distancing rules.
"Power of Love" was the group's first global online concert in about 10 months since the "IN-COMPLETE" concert this January.
The concept of the performance is 'The Power of Love'. They, who have released a love-themed album while working on the Power of Love project this year, also wanted to tell the story of love in this performance. On this day, in particular, the stage was set up under the theme of "Power."
Seventeen opened the stage with "Crush," a song listed in its latest EP 'Attacca," presenting powerful group dance moves.
The members then heated up the atmosphere by performing their hit tracks, such as "Clap," "Ready to Love," "Home," and "I Wish," to boast their own flawless "synchronized" dance sequences.

After beginning the show, member Mingyu said, "We have worked hard to prepare a lot of love for you just like the theme of our concert, 'Power of Love'."
"We decided to move past the sad fact that we can't see our fans in person, and focused on preparing this concert so that we can give our best performances," Seungkwan said in a louder voice.
While the members' passion and heat on stage could not be conveyed first hand, the concert instantly drew attention and did not give the audience time to focus on something else.
The mood of each stage continued to change in different styles depending on the concept and atmosphere of Seventeen's song. A multi-view live streaming service was also available for fans to enjoy various scenes shown on four different screens, including one main screen and three concept screens.
There were also subunit performances showcased by members of Seventeen. S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon's hip-hop team and Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, and Seungkwan's vocal team filled the stage with contrasting energies yet in full spirit, while Dino and Hoshi showed off their charms with individual performances.
In response, fans cheered on for the members in the live comments section and expressed their excitement by clicking on the digital light stick instead of waving the actual official light stick.
The K-pop act prepared "surprise gifts" for fans during the concert.
Members Jun and The8, who couldn't attend the concert due to fulfilling local activities in China, greeted fans through video. The two cheered on the concert, saying, "It's been a while since we got to meet with CARAT (Seventeen's global fan club name)."
Seventeen, which has continued to show relentless growth, has solidified its status as "K-pop superstars" this year.

Looking back at the albums released this year alone, more than one million copies were sold in a row, from Seventeen's eighth mini-album "Your Choice" to "Attacca." The latest EP is expected to become the fifth million seller for the act, following its 2020 albums "Heng:garae" and 2019 album "An Ode."
Hoshi said, "The cumulative sales of the album released after our debut exceeded 10 million. The efforts in achieving this record is credited to CARAT rather than to us," expressing his gratitude to his global fans. All of the members were then seen bowing to fans beyond the screens to once again illustrate their appreciation.
After Seventeen finished performing "Rock with You," the main track of "Attacca," the two-hour concert headed to a close. In the middle of the song, the members encouraged fans to cheer online by saying, "Please sing along with us at home" and "Shall we sing together with CARAT?"
Seventeen also expressed their desire to meet with fans on stage as soon as possible.
Leader S.Coups said, "I have had some difficult and sensitive times while working on this concert, but it was nothing compared to the happiness I'm feeling right now," adding, "I believe we will be able to meet soon. I want to talk about things that I couldn't tell you before."
"I was tired from working nonstop this year, but I've endured it with the power of love," Seungkwan added. "I want all our members and CARAT to stop struggling and come together in one space."
Woozi said, "I really hope this is our last online concert," emphasizing, "Let's have fun while smiling the next time we meet."
SEVENTEEN is planning to continue the heat of this concert for the rest of the month.
On Nov. 18, the Japanese version of the "Power of Love" concert will be held and the Japanese special single "Power of Love (あいのちから)" will be released next month. The online concert will be held one more time under the theme of "Love" on Nov. 21.
