SEOUL, April 7 (Yonhap) -- Actress Jung Ho-yeon is casted as the lead role in Joe Talbot’s new movie, “The Governesses,” her agency Saram Entertainment announced on the 7th.

Based on the novel of French Author Anne Serre, “The Governesses” is a story of three rebellious tutors.

Along with Jung Ho-yeon, the three tutors will be played by model and actress Lily-Rose Depp, also known as the daughter of actor Johnny Depp, and Renat Reinzeb, a Norweigian actress who won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for “The Worst Person in The World.”

Along with “The Last Black Man in San Francisco,” it is the second film for director Joe Talbot and the American producer and distributor A24 to work together.

Jung Ho-yeon was previously casted in the new series “Disclaimer” of Apple TV+ directed by the well-known Mexican filmmaker, Alfonso Cuarón. She emerged as a world star with the Netflix series “Squid Game,” and also won the Best Female Actress Award in the Screen Actors Guild, America.
