LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actor Lee Jung-jae, who has received attention from Hollywood by appearing in Korean-language Netflix's original "Squid Game," signed an exclusive contract with Creative Artists Agency(CAA), an influential American entertainment agency.
Deadline, an entertainment news, reported on Feb. 25(U.S. Time) that Lee signed a contract with CAA and will perform as a director, producer, and actor.
CAA, an American talent and sports agency, is based in Los Angeles(LA), California.
Hollywood stars and directors, such as Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Zendaya, and Reese Witherspoon, belong to the agency.
Lee played the lead role Seong Gi-hun in Netflix's smash hit "Squid Game."
The actor will also attend the 28th Screen Actors Guild(SAG) Awards, which will be held on Feb. 27, with other cast of “Squid Game,” including Jung Ho-yeon and Park Hae-soo.
"Squid Game" has earned 4 nominations, including outstanding performances by an ensemble cast in a drama series, by a stunt ensemble in a television series, by a male actor in a leading role(Lee Jung-jae), and by a female actor in a supporting role(Jung Ho-yeon).
