SEOUL, Dec. 21 (Yonhap) -- MK of boy band ONF will join the military Tuesday to fulfill military service, his management agency WM Entertainment announced on the 21st.
To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, specific place and time of the event has not been revealed.
The band has gained interest as all 5 Koreans except for a Japanese member have decided to join the army at almost the same time, which is quite an unusual decision from an idol group. It was the members’ opinion to minimize the band’s break, the agency explained.
The group released their 6th mini-album December 3rd and met the fans through 4 days of offline concert from Dec. 9~12.
“I will come back more grown up. I will be a person who can pay for FUSEs’ (ONF’s fans) love,” said MK at the concert.
With MK as a starter, J-Us Wyatt and Hyojio E-tion will each join the military on the 27th and the 28th.
