SEOUL, Jan. 16 (Yonhap) – GOT the Beat, a South Korean supergroup formed by SM Entertainment, has released its first EP “Stamp On It”, according to the group’s agency Monday.
The septet unveiled their tracklist consisting of 6 tracks including the eponymous lead single, “Stamp On It,” along with “Goddess Level” which shares a positive message about oneself, “Alter Ego” addressing the severity of climate issues, and “Thorn” that compares beauty to a rose thorn.
The song “Stamp On It” is an R&B hip-hop-infused dance song characterized by an outstanding piano and 808 basses playing in the background. The song shares the all-or-nothing stage competition of those who aspire to come out on top of the music industry. The music video was produced under the concept of a rough-and-tumble caper film.
As SM’s project girl group, GOT the beat consists of 7 members – soloist BoA, Hyoyeon and Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation, Wendy and Seulgi of Red Velvet, and Winter and Karina of aespa.
The EP will be dropped at various music services at 6 p.m. (KST).
