SEOUL, Oct. 18 (Yonhap) -- For the first time in two years, seasoned actress Go Hyun-jung has returned with JTBC's Wednesday-Thursday drama "Reflection of You" on Oct. 13. The mystery drama deals with a heavy topic and takes a look into humans.
"Reflection of You" tells the story of Jeong Hee-joo (Go Hyun-jung), a woman who leaves her life as a 'wife and mother' and becomes faithful to her desires, coming in contact with Gu Hae-won, who has lost the light of her life.
Go plays Hee-joo, who has had a poor childhood however grows up to become a successful painter and essayist, while actress Shin Hyun-been, who previously played Jang Gyeo-ul in the popular drama "Hospital Playlist," acts the role of Hae-won.
The first and second episode, which aired last week, shows Hee-joo, who lives a leisurely life, feeling anxious after coming across Hae-won as her daughter's art teacher. The scene where Hee-joo moves something and wipes the blood splashed on the floor also added a mystery to the drama.
Go convincingly conveys the feeling of hiding complex stories by playing Hee-joo as both a warm and cold-hearted character. Shin, who works as Go's co-star, adds a sense of immersion to the drama with her stable acting skills.
Despite the two actresses' passionate performances, due to the drama's heavy atmosphere, the viewership started off between 2-3 percent, however attention is being paid to whether "Reflection of You" will be able to rebound as the entangled relationship of the characters are clearly revealed from the third episode this week.
