SEOUL, August 10 (Yonhap) — S.Korean rookie girl group NewJeans made U.S. Billboard chart with “Attention,” just eight days after its release.
“Attention” ranked 174th on the Billboard Global (Without U.S.) chart, according to Billboard's latest chart on Wednesday.
NewJeans has been catching popularity since its debut. The debut album “New Jeans” sold 262 thousand copies only on the day of its release. It’s the largest sale for a girl group’s debut album.
Boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) also made the Billboard main album chart Billboard 200 for 12 weeks in a row.
TXT’s mini fourth album “Minisode 2 : Thursday’s Child” placed 157th on Billboard 200.
This album ranked 7th on World Album chart, 11th on Top Current Album Sales, and 12th on Top Album Sales. TXT also placed 89th on Artist 100.
