SEOUL, Mar. 27 (Yonhap) -- KBS Classic FM is gearing up to broadcast a special radio show “Romantic Rachmaninoff” next month on the 2nd in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of its public broadcasting as well as the 44th anniversary of its grand opening.
The special show will feature pre-eminent pieces written by the classical music guru Sergei Rachmaninoff on record as well as the live version performed by cellist Song Young-hoon and pianist Song Young-min. The Russian composer’s chronology as well as his musical career will also be introduced in detail.
This upcoming show will be aired for 17 hours straight from 7 a.m. The show will also be broadcasted publicly at Shinyoung Chamber Hall from 11 p.m. to 5 p.m. (KST).
