SEOUL, September 1 (Yonhap) -- One of the select shops ran by South Korean Department Store Shinsegae, Boon the Shop is hosting a non auction exhibition "Flesh Soul, Bacon & Ghenie" by Christie’s: auction and private sales of Fine Arts, Antique and Jewelry for the first time in Korean history.
Boon the Shop in Cheongdam, Seoul is hosting the Christie’s exhibition starting on September 3 until September 5 at the sub level of the shop, announced Shinsegae on Thursday.
Throughout this exhibition total of 16 paintings of iconic artist of the modern arts era from the 20th century Francis Bacon and Adrian Ghenie will be showcased.
Francis Bacon’s “Study for Portrait 2” and “Study for a pope 1” Adrian Ghenie’s “Lidess Eye,” “The Collector 3” and more rare art works of both artist will be featured throughout the exhibition in Seoul.
The exhibition will be free of admission fee, and the tickets will be available through the official webpage of Christie’s.
Boon the Shop is known for their collaborations with various artists from inside and outside of South Korea. They are expanding from simply offering various clothes to exhibiting artworks and Objet d'art, slowly transforming themselves into a place where they introduce unique life style.
