SEOUL,
Dec. 16 (Yonhap) --
The company said it received a notification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency on Tuesday about signs of an external hacking attack on its website and completed IP blocking and security measures.
Following a detailed investigation conducted with a cybersecurity firm, Playticket said it suspects that member data—including user IDs, names, email addresses, mobile phone numbers and encrypted passwords—may have been leaked.
The company added, however, that resident registration numbers and credit card details are either not stored separately or are encrypted, making it unlikely that financial information was compromised.
A Playticket official urged users to immediately change their passwords as a precaution, adding that those using the same ID and password on other sites should also update their credentials.
Users who suspect they may have been affected by the incident can contact Playticket by phone at 02-322-3658 or by email at playticket@daum.net
