SEOUL, Mar. 16 (Yonhap) – K-pop superband BTS and the band Coldplay’s joint song “My Universe” is having a long run on U.S. Billboard’s global chart.
The song succeeded in entering the chart for 24 consecutive weeks by ranking No. 27 on “Billboard Global”(Excl. U.S.) and No. 36 on “Billboard Global 200,” according to Billboard’s latest chart released on Mar. 15(local time).
The two charts rank songs based on streaming and sales in over 200 countries.
“My Universe” also ranked No. 13 on “Hot Alternative Song,” No. 14 on “Alternative Digital Song Sales,” No. 14 on “Rock Digital Song Sales,” No. 29 on “Adult Pop Airplay,” and No. 14 on “Billboard Canada AC.”
BTS each entered “Billboard Global 200” and “Billboard Global”(Excl. U.S.) with 4 songs, including “My Universe.”
The group was also named on “Billboard Global 200” by ranking “Butter” at 40th, “Dynamite” at 56th, and “Permission To Dance” at 146th.
On the “Billboard Global”(Excl. U.S.) chart, the group set records with “Butter” at 31st, “Dynamite” at 35th, and “Permission To Dance” at 79th.
Meanwhile, “MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA,” which was released in April, 2019, ranked No. 78 on “Top Album Sales” and No. 5 on “World Album.”
The album “BE,” which was released in November, 2020, ranked No. 72 on “Top Current Album Sales” and No. 3 on “World Album.”
