SEOUL, Feb. 3(Yonhap) – S. Korean rapper Beenzino(real name Lim Sung-bin) has participated in featuring a remix album of the Japanese 4-member band Chai, according to Beasts and Natives Alike on Feb. 3.
Chai is a band that has received global attention by being selected as the “Best New Music” by Pitchfork Media, an American online music publication, with the group’s second album “PUNK,” which was released in 2019.
The band previously collaborated with global artists, such as Gorillaz, Duran Duran, and JPEGMAFIA, last year.
Beenzino participated in the album “WINK TOGETHER,” which remixed Chai’s third album “WINK,” and made collaboration with the song “Donuts Mind If I Do.”
The agency explained, “The song Beenzino collaborated with is the first single of Chai’s third album that drew attention,” adding, “The singer joined the album, where artists around the world participated, as a Korean artist.”
