SEOUL, March 21 (Yonhap) -- K-pop group BIGBANG will make a comeback with a new song next month.

The agency YG Entertainment released a poster announcing the release of BIGBANG‘s new song on its official blog on the 21st and said, "BIGBANG will make a comeback on April 5th."

The group will drop a new song in 4 years since the single “Flower Road” in March 2018.

The members are also known to have recently finished filming their new music video.

The agency said, “Less than an hour after the release of the comeback poster, it emerged as the No. 1 'Worldwide Trend' on Twitter, making us guess BIGBANG's unchanging presence.”

BIGBANG, who debuted in 2006, garnered great popularity with hit songs “LIES,” “FANTASTIC BABY,” “BANG BANG BANG.”

However, starting with T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun) in 2017, they spent a long four-year hiatus while G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong), Taeyang (Dong Young-bae), and Daesung served in the military in turn.

Moreover, the former member Seungri (Lee Seung-hyun), retired from the entertainment industry due to his involvement in the "Burning Sun scandal," which caused a social stir, and T.O.P was charged with smoking marijuana and was sentenced to probation.
