SEOUL, Feb. 12 (Yonhap) – K-pop superband BTS and the band Coldplay's joint song "My Universe" had a long run by remaining on the UK Singles Chart "Top 100" for 18 consecutive weeks.
According to the latest chart released on Feb. 11(KST), the song ranked No. 89, 54 steps lower than the previous week.
"My Universe" ranked No. 3 on the chart after its release on Sep. 24, 2021, ranking the highest. It was followed by No. 12, No. 15, No. 5, No. 7, No. 13, No. 12, No. 17, No. 19, No. 24, No. 86, and No. 92 for the 12 consecutive weeks.
The song then stepped off the chart for 2 weeks and reappeared on the chart, ranking No. 19, No. 31, and No. 30, No. 36, and No. 35 from last month.
"My Universe" is a song that drew attention in collaboration with BTS, which has the world's biggest fandom, and Coldplay, one of the most commercially successful bands.
The song also features Korean lyrics written by BTS members. The two groups first unveiled a joint stage to their fans around the world at the “American Music Awards of 2021,” which was held in November, 2021.
