SEOUL, May 30 (Yonhap) -- K-pop diva BoA is set to release her new Japanese single "Young & Free" at 12 p.m. on Friday, according to her agency SM Entertainment.
This marks her first new release in Japan in three years, since the 2022 album "The Greatest," which celebrated the 20th anniversary of her Japanese debut. Incidentally, the release date is also the anniversary of BoA’s debut in Japan.
"Young & Free" is a song in which BoA participated in both writing and composing. SM introduced it as a medium-tempo track with a refreshing sound and vocals that capture a summery vibe.
BoA will also launch her first Japanese tour in six years, starting at the Morinomiya Piloti Hall in Osaka on September 20 and wrapping up at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo on November 1.
