SEOUL, Sept. 8 (Yonhap) -- "I feel like I am dreaming now. I missed you guys a lot and waited for a long time. We can be together forever right?"
Deuce member Kim Sung-jae returned as avatar looking the same as when he was alive. Avatar Kim Sung-jae greeted fans wearing sunglasses and costume of his hit song "As I Told You."
Metaverse avatar production company Galaxy corporation showed avatar that recreated Kim Sung-jae during the press conference of "Memorial ep.1" at one small theater in Seoul on Wednesday.
Avatar Kim Sung-jae performed "As I Told You" with his younger brother Kim Seong-wook. In the video, they danced side by side and spread their hands together for the ending.
Kim Seong-jae's mother Yuk Mi-young who watched the video said, "Sung-jae suddenly passed away and couldn't fulfill his dream," adding "It feels nice to see Seong-jae's avatar and hear his voice. I hope he can make his dream come true through his avatar."
His family said they thought a lot about creating avatar version of him.
His brother said, "Since we have been going through a lot, we were suspicious when we first received the offer," adding, "I believe this kind of project was possible because Sung-jae's passion is still fired up."

Avatar Kim Sung-jae will appear on TV Chosun's new Metaverse music show "Ava Dream" on Oct. 3 and start his official activities. After that, he will engage in activities such as social contribution.
